Santa Barbara, Calif. high school cronies who became Toad the Wet Sprocket in 1986 continue their mellow, melodic folk-pop sound that made them one of the most successful Alternative Rock bands of the early 1990s. The band's commercial breakthrough came as the single All I Want (which had nearly been left off the 1991 album Fear) became a Top 20 hit. After Fear was certified Platinum, another single from the LP, Walk on the Ocean, also became a successful track for the band. Toad generated another Top 40 hit (including a six-week run as No. 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks) with the single Fall Down. Since 2006, the band has played to enthusiastic crowds of all ages across the country, proving that great music truly is timeless.

Rocks Lounge
Showtime: 10 pm
MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
$20 plus tax/fees
VIP Booth Packages: $300 plus tax/fees

(includes 8 tickets and 1 bottle of Select Vodka, Whiskey or Rum.)

Dressed in leather, brandishing heavy guitars and an unabashed fetish for British Invasion Pop, The Smithereens were an anomaly in the American College Rock scene of the late 80,s. Lead singer/songwriter Pat DiNizio stood out not only with his strange beatnik goatee, but also because his catchy hooks were haunting, not punchy, and because his lyrics were morose. As time wore on, the group became more straightforward, turning into an excellent concert band, one that attacked pop songs with the weight of AC/DC. The band's successes span the decades with Only a Memory and A Girl Like You in the 1980s, to Top of the Pops and Too Much Passion in the 90's.

There is no mistaking Brad Roberts' voice. He may look like an average guy, now in his mid- 40s, but then he opens his mouth and his majestic baritone voice immediately conjures fond memories of such Crash Test Dummies hits at "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm" and "Superman." Perhaps best remembered for the acerbic folk rock sound of 1991's The Ghosts That Haunt Me and 1993's God Shuffled His Feet, there have nonetheless been enough hits for the band over the years to merit a couple of greatest hits packages. Through it all, the band with Roberts at the helm has touched on funk and soul, folk, electronic music and even Christmas tunes. Yet it is Roberts' voice and offbeat lyrical sensibility that have been this beloved band's calling cards since their founding twenty years ago.

Since their arrival on the music scene in 1993 in a legendary residency at Los Angeles' Brown Derby nightclub, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's irresistible live show and aggressive, musically perceptive approach has proven them over time to be the singular standout among the numerous bands that launched the Nineties swing revival. The seven-man group forged a massively successful fusion of classic American sounds from jazz, swing, Dixieland and big-band music, building their own songbook of original dance tunes, and, sixteen years later, BBVD is a veteran force that to this day adds new fans by the roomful every time they play.

Rocks Lounge
Showtime: 10 pm
MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
$20 plus tax/fees

(includes 8 tickets and 1 bottle of Select Vodka, Whiskey or Rum.)

John Mayall was born 29th of November 1933 in Macclesfield, an English town near the industrial hub of Manchester--a far cry at that time from the black American blues culture we are familiar with today. The eldest of three from humble working class origins, and in the shadow of WWII, this skinny English lad grew up listening to his guitarist father's extensive jazz record collection and felt drawn to the blues. Strongly influenced by such greats as Leadbelly, Albert Ammons, Pinetop Smith, and Eddie Lang, from the age of 13 he taught himself to play and develop his own style with the aid of a neighbor's piano, borrowed guitars, and secondhand harmonicas.

Rocks Lounge
Showtime: 10 pm
MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
$20 plus tax/fees
VIP Booth Packages: $300 plus tax/fees

(includes 8 tickets and 1 bottle of Select Vodka, Whiskey or Rum.)

Poland-native Basia Trzetrzelewska was introduced as a vocalist with the group Matt Bianco and hits "Get Out of Your Lazy Bed," "More Than I Can Bear" and "Half A Minute." She and the group's main composer, keyboardist Danny White, departed to begin work on their debut, Time and Tide. The album was successful throughout Europe and Japan, but it took some adventurous D.J.s to import the album to a new radio audience stateside. The buzz led to Time and Tide's official US release and three Adult Contemporary hits there ("Promises," "New Day For You," "Time and Tide"). Basia proved unique, defying categories and appealing to a wide audience. This versatility earned her two consecutive number one Billboard Contemporary Jazz albums upon the release of the follow-up, London Warsaw New York, which topped that chart for most of 1990. A second tour full of sold-out marquees followed, pushed by the breakout success of the single "Cruising For Bruising," and resulting in a second platinum record. A more vivid portrait of the artists emerged with 1994's The Sweetest Illusion as a more organic sound was developed, with a full band and a deeper variety of musical texture. Once again their appeal continued across genre lines as “Drunk On Love” became a no.1 Billboard Club Play hit while The Sweetest Illusion rode the pop album chart. The resulting world tour culminated in a two-week run on Broadway, recorded for the live album Basia on Broadway.

He has also been extremely active as a producer and engineer on the recorded work of other musicians.
